These Terms & Conditions apply to electrical services provided by RSF Electrics (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accepting a quotation, booking our services, or allowing work to commence, you agree to these terms.
All quotations are provided based on the information available at the time of inspection or enquiry.
Unless otherwise stated, quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
If additional work is required that was not included in the original quotation, we will discuss this with the customer before carrying out the additional work wherever reasonably possible.
All electrical work will be carried out with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with applicable UK electrical safety requirements and regulations.
We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if we believe that continuing would be unsafe, unlawful, or could cause damage to the property or electrical installation.
The customer is responsible for providing reasonable and safe access to the property and the areas where electrical work is required.
Where necessary, electricity may need to be temporarily disconnected while work is carried out.
Customers should ensure that valuable, fragile, or sensitive items are removed from the immediate working area before work begins.
During electrical work, we may discover existing faults, unsafe wiring, damaged equipment, or installations that do not meet current standards.
Any additional work required to correct existing problems will be discussed with the customer and may result in additional charges.
RSF Electrics cannot be held responsible for faults or defects that existed before our work commenced.
Unless otherwise agreed, RSF Electrics will supply the materials and electrical components required to complete the agreed work.
Where a customer supplies their own materials or equipment, we cannot guarantee their quality, compatibility, performance, or manufacturer’s warranty.
Additional materials required outside the original quotation may be charged separately.
Payment terms will be stated on the quotation or invoice provided to the customer.
Payment must be made by the due date shown on the invoice.
For larger projects, we may request a deposit or staged payments before or during the work.
Additional work requested by the customer may be charged separately from the original quotation.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to charge a reasonable cancellation fee where an appointment is cancelled at short notice or where we attend the property but are unable to gain access.
Any estimated completion date or timeframe is provided as a guide.
Although we will make reasonable efforts to complete work within the agreed timeframe, delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control, including material availability, unexpected electrical faults, property conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
We will take reasonable care while working at your property.
Some electrical work may require access through walls, ceilings, floors, or other finished surfaces. Unless specifically included within the quotation, decorating, plastering, painting, or other making-good work is not included.
If you believe there is a problem with work completed by RSF Electrics, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can investigate.
Any guarantee provided by RSF Electrics applies to the work we have completed and does not cover unrelated faults, existing defects, misuse, accidental damage, third-party alterations, or normal wear and tear.
Manufacturer warranties may apply separately to materials and equipment installed.
RSF Electrics will not be responsible for losses or damage caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or by existing faults within the property’s electrical installation.
Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the property and the work required.
Customers should inform us of any known electrical faults, hazards, asbestos, restricted access, or other circumstances that could affect the safe completion of the work.
We may take photographs of completed work for our records.
Photographs may also be used to showcase our work on our website or social media. We will take reasonable steps to avoid displaying personal information or identifying details of a customer’s property without permission.
If you do not want photographs of your completed work used for marketing purposes, please let us know.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
We aim to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.
RSF Electrics may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be published on our website.
